Strategic Council
Foundation of Strategic Council
Strategic Council is
consisted of legislators of Deputy of Research and Technology, Ministry of
Health and Medical Education; Management and planning Organization and all other
research centers having permanent representatives in the meetings. The council
is the most important structure in making decisions on strategic planning and
research and training matters of IMMN.
Strategic Council consists
of member centre representatives (maximum number 15) who are already selected by
General Assembly. Representative from Deputy of Research and Technology,
Ministry of Health and Medical Education attends as an external observer in
Strategic Council meetings
Chairman of the strategic
council is selected by permanent members but his/her appointment is announced by
Deputy of Research and Technology, Ministry of Health and Medical Education and
will only last for two years and can not be renewed.

Specifying research priorities

Setting necessary policies and procedures to ensure a set of organized,
on-going and empowering financial and administrative resources

Electing the chief of the Medical research Network and recommending him to the
deputy of Research and Technology, appointing his duties and authorities and
supervising him through the execution of his duties

Election of new members in the Medical Research Network

Member election for Research and Education Council
Note 2:
In case, the number of
member centers surpasses 15, only one representative is selected from all
affiliated research centers to the extent that the number of Strategic Council
does not exceed 15.
Note 3:
Members of the Strategic
Council are elected for the period of 2 years and their assignment is submitted
by the head of the Network.
